Rotary Club Mohali and Inner Wheel Club Mohali Blissful Donate Medicines Worth Rs 2.5 Lakh for Flood-Affected Residents
SAS Nagar, September 10 (WISHAVWARTA):- Rotary Club Mohali, along with Inner Wheel Club Mohali Blissful, District 308, today handed over 19 boxes of medicines, valued at around Rs 2.5 lakh, to Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal at her office for distribution among flood-affected residents.
Rotary Club President Satish Arora, Navneet Saxena, Ashok Gupta, and Satvir Singh Dhnoa alongwith Inner Wheel Club President Asha Sood and Secretary Vijay Sood, requested the Deputy Commissioner to ensure that these medicines reach the needy so as to help contain post-flood diseases.
Expressing gratitude towards the noble gesture, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that these are testing times for residents who have suffered a tragedy and require support in every possible form from across Punjab. She acknowledged that generous assistance is continuously being extended by individuals and organizations alike, and assured that the district administration will ensure timely delivery of this help to those in need.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Geetika Singh and Secretary, District Red Cross Society, Harbans Singh, were also present on the occasion.
