BJP leader and former MLA Satkar Kaur Ghari arrested red handed by Punjab STF with 100 grams of heroin in drug case
Chandigarh, 23 October (WISHAVWARTA):- The STF of Punjab Police today arrested BJP leader and former Congress MLS Satkar Kaur Gehri in a drug case as she was caught red handed with 100 gram heroin.
Gehri was Congress MLA from Ferozepur rural during Capt Amarinder Singh government. She later joined BJP alongwith Capt Amarinder Singh.
IG headquarter Sukhchain Singh Gill while giving information that a source had informed police about Satkaur Kaur but at the time of information police was not aware of identity of the accused woman. She had came personally to sell the drugs when she was caught red handed by STF team. She tried to escape from the spot but caught by police.
Gill said that four vehicles have been seized from Satkar Kaur and drug money of Rs.1.50 lakh was recovered during search of residence if Satkar Kaur in Sunny Enclave Kharar. Police has also seized fake vehicle number plates from the house.
Earlier she was booked in a case of illegal mining and ammassing property more than known sources of income.
