MC Chandigarh unveils ‘MC One Pass’ — A landmark gift of smart parking to the City

Monthly parking at just ₹500 for four-wheelers and ₹250 for two-wheelers
Chandigarh, January 27 (WISHAVWARTA):- In a significant step towards strengthening smart and citizen-centric urban mobility, the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, in collaboration with Bank of Baroda, today launched the ‘MC One Pass’ Parking System at the MC parking site in Sector 22. The initiative, formally inaugurated by Mayor Smt. Harpreet Kaur Babla, is being hailed as a thoughtful gift to the city, aimed at simplifying parking while promoting transparency, affordability, and digital governance.
Addressing the gathering, the Mayor stated that the MC One Pass initiative is designed to modernize Chandigarh’s parking ecosystem by providing a seamless, cashless, and fully digital parking solution for residents and daily commuters. Under the scheme, citizens can avail monthly parking passes at highly affordable rates of ₹250 for two-wheelers and ₹500 for four-wheelers, significantly easing the financial burden on regular commuters while enhancing convenience and ease of access.
Sharing the salient features of the scheme, Sh. Amit Kumar, IAS, Commissioner, MC Chandigarh, informed that the MC One Pass Parking System also covers commercial four-wheelers with yellow number plates, making it an inclusive initiative that benefits a wider segment of vehicle users. He described the system as a progressive reform in parking management that will improve transparency, reduce manual intervention, and ensure efficient and organized parking across the city.
Powered by Bank of Baroda, the initiative reflects strong coordination between the civic administration and the banking sector to modernize urban infrastructure and strengthen digital service delivery. The monthly MC One Pass will be valid across all parking sites managed by MC Chandigarh, including the Surface Parking opposite Elante Mall, parking sites in Sectors 17, 22 and 35, Lake Parking, Multi-Level Parking at Sector 17, and other designated MC parking locations. The Commissioner further stated that there is no requirement to visit any office to obtain the parking pass, as citizens can easily generate their monthly pass by scanning a QR code available on MC and Bank of Baroda websites, at parking sites, and through newspaper publications.
Reaffirming MCC’s commitment to citizen convenience, he added that the Pass Parking System will be expanded to additional parking locations in a phased manner to ensure a uniform, hassle-free, and digitally enabled parking experience across Chandigarh.
