RBI Organizes Financial Awareness Camp with Lead Bank Mohali
SAS Nagar, June 19, 2026 (WISHAVWARTA);- On the instructions of Reserve Bank of India Chandigarh, Lead Bank Mohali organized a Financial Awareness Camp at Machhli Kalan ( Kharar Block ) in Distt SAS Nagar Mohali. Key dignitaries Sh Deepak Singla LDO from RBI Chandigarh, SH M K Bhardwaj LDM Mohali, Ms Anchal Sharma DDM Nabard were present. Sarpanch of Village Sh Rakesh Kumar Rana was also present during the function with other panch members and more than 60 women members of different SHG groups operating in the area.
LDM M K Bhardwaj addressed the gathering and made people aware about the various banking facilities available to them through various bank branches. He also focused on the need for awareness to avoid any cyber crime . He urged people not to share their credentials to anyone in order to safe guard their hard earned money.
Sh Deepak Singla from RBI Chandigarh also put focus on the various initiatives taken by RBI in the field of financial awareness. HE also discussed with the rural people about any inconvenience faced by the while dealing with the bank branches in their area.
Ms Anchal Sharma , DDM Nabard put focus on the GOI campaign “ Khet Bachao Abhiyan” and other agriculture activities that are being taken care of by various bank branches. She also discussed various parameters with the SHG women beneficiaries.
RBI also distributed financial awareness study material among the participants. Among others present were Rashmi Branch Head of Punjab Garmin Bank , Swati and Karan from Lead Bank office and FLC Ms Neetu Khatri.
