Kewal Singh Dhillon Offers Thanksgiving Prayer on Completion of 12 Years of the Modi Government

Chandigarh, June 10 (WISHAVWARTA);- Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon today paid obeisance at a Gurdwara Sahib on the historic occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 12 years of successful service to the nation. On the occasion, he offered a thanksgiving Ardas (prayer) and prayed for the continued well-being, prosperity, and success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation, Punjab, and the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Speaking on the occasion, Kewal Singh Dhillon said that under the visionary leadership and strong governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has reached new heights on the global stage.
He stated that an extensive network of highways, expressways, and airports has been developed across the country. Alongside the modernization of Indian Railways, advanced high-speed trains such as the Vande Bharat Express have been introduced.
He further said that India has emerged as a global leader in digital transactions. By expanding internet connectivity and digital services to even the remotest villages, the government has made the lives of ordinary citizens more convenient and accessible.
Kewal Singh Dhillon highlighted that the BJP government under Prime Minister Modi facilitated the development of the Kartarpur Corridor, exempted Langar services from GST, and constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate long-pending cases related to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. As a result, several key accused were convicted. In addition, affected families were provided financial assistance of ₹5 lakh each.
He also noted that, in honor of the unparalleled sacrifice of Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, the Government of India initiated the annual observance of Veer Bal Diwas on December 26.
Dhillon said that the 550th Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the 350th Prakash Purab of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, and the 400th Prakash Purab of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji were celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at the national and international levels.
He further stated that welfare initiatives such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, and Ayushman Bharat have directly benefited millions of poor and underprivileged families.
Kewal Singh Dhillon emphasized that the government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, strengthened national borders, and promoted the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat by manufacturing modern defense equipment and weapons within the country.
He said that India’s voice is now heard with respect on global platforms and that the country has established itself as one of the world’s leading economies.
Concluding his remarks, Kewal Singh Dhillon expressed confidence that under the capable leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India will continue to set new benchmarks of development. He added that Punjab, too, will move forward on the path of progress, good governance, and prosperity, and that the BJP will form the government in the state in the coming years.
