Narnaul/Mahendragarh, 30 September(wishavwarta) Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha attended a traders’ conference in support of AAP candidate Ravinder Matru at Jain Manglik Dharamshala in Narnaul on Monday. Many dignitaries from the business community of Mahendragarh district were present, and slogans calling for change in Haryana resonated throughout the event.
Chadha stated, “You are fortunate that a new political option has reached your doorstep. In my travels across various states, I’ve heard from both youth and the elderly asking why the Aam Aadmi Party doesn’t come to their regions. I tell them to stand up, and AAP will come.”
He criticized the BJP and Congress for the “looting” of Haryana over the years, asserting that AAP has opened the door to a new era in the state. He recounted how, in Delhi, AAP asked for a chance and was supported by the voters, who now favor the party over others. “Similarly, give us a chance in Haryana. If we do not perform, do not vote for us again,” he urged.
Chadha emphasized that the people of Delhi embraced AAP by expressing their love for Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and voting for the party. He remarked that no party currently competes with AAP in Haryana, describing the BJP as a “flop” that is losing support.
“Do not vote for the party that has disrespected the Jawan (soldiers), Kisan (farmers) and Pehalwan (wrestlers) of Haryana,” he advised, adding that the competition in the state is between three parties: A for Aam Aadmi Party, B for BJP, and C for Congress. “You’ve tried the B and C parties. Aam Aadmi Party is a new option; give us a chance. We will not give anyone a reason to complain.”
He stated that Arvind Kejriwal is a son of Haryana, hailing from Hisar. “He has struggled for the past year, and if the public truly loves him, they should not vote for other parties—just support Kejriwal by pressing the broom button. We must work to ensure Ravinder Matru wins with a huge majority, as this will strengthen Arvind Kejriwal’s hands. If we make Ravinder Matru victorious, Narnaul will become the number one assembly in Haryana.”
He pointed out that for decades, the Narnaul assembly has been represented by either a Congress or BJP MLA. “When parties don’t change, neither do the candidates. Consequently, neither their working style nor the public’s fate improves. In the 2024 elections, you have a golden opportunity. The Aam Aadmi Party is already governing in Delhi and Punjab. Whatever promises they made in Delhi, they fulfilled, and the same goes for Punjab, setting an example of honest politics.”
He stated that the AAP will provide the basic needs of the people, such as free electricity, free water, world-class healthcare, quality education, free bus travel for mothers and sisters, and pilgrimage facilities for the elderly. He noted that we often read in newspapers about developed countries like Europe and America, where every individual has work and a dignified life. They have achieved this development because their governments provided basic facilities to the common people, giving them the chance to stand on their own feet. India can also become a developed nation only when governments invest in ordinary families by providing free electricity, water, education, and healthcare.
He highlighted that if an elderly person falls ill in Delhi and the treatment costs reach lakhs, the Kejriwal government covers the entire expense. “Today, government schools in Delhi have become better than private schools. Prominent leaders, businesspeople, and officials are withdrawing their children from private institutions to enroll them in Kejriwal’s government schools. It took us 75 years to reach this point because other parties kept you poor and backward, hindering your progress.”
He emphasized that the Aam Aadmi Party is a party of educated individuals. “Arvind Kejriwal studied at IIT and served as the Commissioner of Income Tax. People like us are part of this party. I am a chartered accountant who returned after studying in London, and now I am dedicated to serving the public. The Aam Aadmi Party is committed to advancing the people and the state.”
He stated that this time the people of Haryana will hand over the key of power to the Aam Aadmi Party. “So many AAP MLAs will win that no government can be formed in Haryana without our party. Delhi borders Haryana, and Punjab is on the other side. AAP is running an effective government in both states. The people of Haryana are wise; they will vote for AAP by pressing the broom button. With a strong presence of AAP MLAs in Haryana, no government will be able to form without us. If the key of power is in Arvind Kejriwal’s hands, we will ensure all five guarantees are fulfilled.”
He outlined the first guarantee: “Free electricity, with 24-hour availability.” The second guarantee is “free and quality healthcare.” The third is “world-class government schools providing free education.” The fourth guarantee states that “every mother and sister above 18 years of age in Haryana will receive one thousand rupees every month.” The fifth guarantee promises “100 percent employment for the youth.” He pointed out that Haryana currently ranks first in the country for unemployment, a result of the leaders’ corruption.
He concluded by saying, “We often hear that those who listen to Mirchi are always happy; similarly, those who vote for Kejriwal will always be happy. Vote for Arvind Kejriwal by pressing the broom button.”
