Chandigarh/Jalandhar, June 23 (WISHAVWARTA):- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is once again gearing up to win the Jalandhar west assembly constituency. On Sunday, CM Bhagwant Mann took command for the by-poll campaign and held a meeting with the leaders and party’s office bearers of Jalandhar west where he shared his victory mantra with the AAP leaders.
The AAP Punjab President asked the leaders to do a door-to-door campaign for this by-poll and advised them to apprise the people about the achievements of the AAP government in just two years. Mann said that the people of Jalandhar west are with us, they are happy with the work of the AAP government, but we (AAP) and the people here are betrayed by the same person who disregarded the mandate of the people and joined an anti-Punjab party.
Mann further said that Mohinder Bhagat and his family have a clean image in Jalandhar. He and his family have been working for the people of Jalandhar for many years now. Mann asked everyone to follow the lead of Mohinder Bhagat during this campaign. CM Mann will supervise and guide the whole campaign for this assembly constituency.
Mann said that there are no differences in the Aam Aadmi Party leadership or workers. There are many such rumours circling around but they are baseless and fake. Mann asked the opposition leaders to not worry and claimed that the AAP will have 95 MLAs in the Punjab assembly by the end of the year.
This seat has fallen vacant due to former Aam Aadmi Party MLA Sheetal Angural leaving the party. Sheetal Angural is currently in the BJP. Voting for the by-election on this seat is to be held on July 10. The AAP will be aiming to win this seat again.
CM Bhagwant Mann encouraged the AAP leaders to work harder on the grassroots level. He said that the AAP workers are the most hard working volunteers and the party has its full trust in them. Mann urged everyone to work for the collective welfare of the people of Punjab.
The CM said that the AAP government has the full support of the people and we are working towards our goal to make Punjab Rangla again. Mann said that we will win the Jalandhar west seat by a huge margin and then serve the people of Jalandhar.
