BJP Punjab Appoints Senior Leaders as Observers for Mayor and Municipal Council President Elections

Chandigarh, June 26 (WISHAVWARTA);- Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab President Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon has appointed senior party leaders as observers for the upcoming elections of Mayors and Presidents of Municipal Councils in various cities of Punjab.
The appointments have been made to ensure smooth coordination, strengthen organizational oversight, and facilitate effective election management during the electoral process.
For the Municipal Corporation elections, Er. Shwait Malik, former BJP Punjab President and former Member of Parliament, has been appointed observer for Pathankot, while S. Manpreet Badal, former Cabinet Minister, has been assigned responsibility for Abohar.
For the Municipal Council President elections, Sh. KD Bhandari, State Vice President and former MLA, has been appointed observer for Fazilka. Sh. Surjit Jyani, State Vice President and former Cabinet Minister, will oversee Mansa, while S. Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi, former Cabinet Minister, has been assigned Jagraon.
Former BJP Punjab President and former Union Minister Sh. Vijay Sampla has been appointed observer for Nayagaon.
BJP Punjab State General Secretary Anil Sarin stated that all appointed observers are experienced leaders with strong organizational understanding and administrative capability. Their guidance will ensure transparent coordination and further strengthen the party’s grassroots presence.
The appointments reflect BJP Punjab’s commitment to organizational discipline and strategic preparedness as the party continues to expand its footprint across urban local bodies in the state.
