Arvind Kejriwal campaigned for AAP candidate Pawan Kumar Tinu in Jalandhar
Jalandhar/Chandigarh, May 27(wishavwarta)- National Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal campaigned for AAP candidate Pawan Kumar Tinu in Jalandhar. Kejriwal did a road show with the AAP candidate and appealed to the people to make Pawan Kumar Tinu win.
While addressing the people, Kejriwal said that you have given a chance to all the parties. No one has done anything for you nor has raised your issues in the parliament. This time you should elect the AAP candidate Pawan Kumar Tinu. He will stay among you. He will raise your issues in the parliament and fight for your rights.
Targeting the BJP, Kejriwal said that our government made electricity free in Delhi and Punjab. Whereas electricity is the most expensive in BJP ruled states. Still BJP people call me corrupt. You tell me whether the one who gives free electricity is corrupt or the one who gives electricity at the costliest rate is corrupt?
He said that after the announcement of elections, PM Modi sent me to jail. He was afraid that if Kejriwal campaigns across the country, the BJP will suffer a lot. He said that the BJP has spread dictatorship in the country. If they win this time, they will destroy the democracy and constitution of the country. Therefore, it is very important to defeat the BJP this time.
Kejriwal hit back at Amit Shah and said that Shah has threatened the people of Punjab that on June 4, he will depose the AAP government and remove Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. He wants to kill democracy. He said that the people of Punjab do not tolerate dictators. Therefore, they will respond to the threat of Amit Shah with their votes.
Kejriwal said that in the assembly elections, you made our government by giving us 92 seats. Now strengthen us at the center by giving us 13 MPs. Then we will solve all the issues related to the central government and get all the outstanding funds of Punjab released. Our MPs will become the voice of Punjab in Parliament.
He appealed to the people to vote for the Aam Aadmi Party and said that voting for the BJP and Akali Dal means wasting your vote. Voting for any other party will not benefit you either. He said that we have a government in the state. We will become strong at the centre too, then the development of Punjab will happen at the doubled speed.
