NEW DELHI/Chandigarh 11 May (WISHAVWARTA)-In a resounding display of solidarity and support, AAP’s National Convenor and Delhi’s Chief Minister, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, made a triumphant return to the streets of Delhi on Saturday, accompanied by Punjab CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann. Embarking on a massive roadshow spanning the Mehrauli constituency in South Delhi and Krishna Nagar Assembly in East Delhi, Shri Arvind Kejriwal was greeted by throngs of enthusiastic Delhiites, marking his first public appearance after nearly 1.5 months. Touched by the overwhelming display of affection, the Delhi CM found himself overcome with emotion, attributing his recent incarceration to his unwavering commitment to the welfare of Delhi’s residents.
Amidst chants of support, Shri Arvind Kejriwal recounted his administration’s achievements, including the provision of free education, healthcare, and utilities, suggesting that his imprisonment was a consequence of his efforts to uplift the people. Denouncing the dictatorial regime, Shri Arvind Kejriwal implored the masses to stand united against dictatorship, vowing to dedicate every resource at his disposal to the cause. As he seeks the support of the people in his fight against tyranny.
During a roadshow in Mehrauli of the South Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “It feels great to be amongst you after so many days. I missed the people of Delhi a lot. I want to thank the crores of people who sent their prayers and blessings. I know that many women, sisters, and daughters sent such emotional messages. The result of their blessings is that yesterday a miracle happened and the Supreme Court gave an order and today I am campaigning amongst you, people.”
The Delhi CM said, “I missed you (Delhiites) all a lot in jail. My wife, CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann from Punjab and our cabinet minister Shri Saurabh Bhardwaj used to come to meet me. They used to ask me how am I? I used to tell them to forget about my health, how is the health of my Delhiites? Are the people of Delhi facing any problem? I used to ask them if everything is going well in Delhi? Are Delhiites getting proper electricity supply? Are people getting free electricity? Are women getting free bus travel? I used to talk to all of them about the people of Delhi.”
The AAP Supremo shared, “When they (BJP) arrested me, I was thinking in my mind what is my fault? I am a very small man and we have a small party. We have governments in just two states. These people are very big and powerful people. My fault is that I built excellent schools for the children of Delhi, opened Mohalla Clinics for the people of Delhi, made treatment free, and improved government hospitals. For you people, I arranged for free treatment and medicines in Delhi hospitals. But when I went to Tihar, they stopped my medicines for 15 days. I am a diabetic patient. When I was outside, I used to take 52 units of insulin daily. There these people stopped my insulin also.”
Shri Arvind Kejriwal mentioned that when their government was formed in 2015, there used to be long power cuts of 10-10 hours in Delhi. “My fault is that today I have made electricity available for 24 hours in Delhi. These people want to shut down everything and bring Delhi to a standstill. They put Shri Manish Sisodia in jail. Shri Manish Sisodia is the first person who transformed government schools in 75 years of independent India. He should have been made the country’s education minister at the center. They put Shri Satyender Jain in jail. Shri Satyender Jain is the person who built Mohalla Clinics, transformed hospitals and made your treatment free,” he added
“These people do not do all these things. The real democracy is that if I built 500 schools, then you show by building 5,000 schools. This is your greatness. Your greatness does not lie in the fact that Kejriwal built 500 schools, stop him from building more schools. You are the Prime Minister of the country, if Kejriwal is building 500 schools in Delhi then you should build 5 lakh schools across the country,” the AAP chief stated.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal conveyed that they (BJP folks) want to stop our work. This is not good for the country. This is a dictatorship. We have to fight against this dictatorship. Today I am fighting against this dictatorship. Today I am fighting against this dictatorship with my might devoting everything. I need your support and cooperation. This country is a great country. Our country is 4,000 years old. Many great dictators came who tried to impose dictatorship on this country, but this country never accepted any dictator. The people of this country did not let anyone rule. The people uprooted and overthrew all the dictators who came. We have to save the country from dictatorship.
The AAP head expressed, “Today I have come to seek your support. It has been 20 hours since I came out of jail. In these 20 hours, I have spoken to many people on the phone. I have spoken to big experts, psephologists, and election experts. Everyone is saying the same thing that BJP is not getting majority. Their seats are decreasing in Haryana, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh. They are being wiped out from Punjab and in Delhi they are being wiped out from all the seats. The Modi government will not be formed on 4 June. On 4 June, the INDIA Alliance government will be formed and the Aam Aadmi Party will be a part of this government.
“We will get full statehood for Delhi. This is not an ordinary moment, it is a historic moment. History is taking a turn. If all of you together give all the seven seats of Delhi to the India Alliance, then the INDIA Alliance will become stronger and I assure you that the fate and direction of the country will also change,” he affirmed.
In another roadshow at Krishna Nagar of the East Delhi Lok Sabha seat, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that I used to worry about you people (Delhiites) inside the jail. Many women were worried that Kejriwal has gone inside, now what will happen to our ₹1,000 per month? But I had told you that I will return soon and I have come. I want to tell my mothers and sisters that you do not worry. I will start your ₹1,000 per month soon.
The AAP National Convenor stated that the BJP people are saying that they want 400 seats. When they are asked why they want it, they say that they have to do big things. We came to know from inside that one big thing they have to do is that just like elections are not held in Russia, Putin changed the constitution there. In the same way, they will change the constitution in India too so that now there will be no elections in the country and as long as Modi ji is there, only he will be the Prime Minister. “We will die, we will be cut off but in any case we will not let democracy end from this country. We will not let dictatorship come to this country. These people are saying that we want 400 seats because we want to change the constitution of the country and abolish reservation. They want to abolish reservation and bring in dictatorship,” he affirmed.
The Delhi CM said that we have worked in Delhi. We built schools, hospitals and Mohalla Clinics here, made electricity and water free, arranged free pilgrimages for the elderly, provided free bus travel to women. “Wherever I go, I ask for votes in the name of my work. It has been 10 years since they have been running the country, but they do not talk about a single work. Sometimes they contest elections on ‘Mangalsutra’ and sometimes on something else. It has been 10 years since you (BJP) have been running the country, but tell me even one good work of yours in all these years, you have not done a single good work. Along with making Delhi a full state, we will also make LG here our own. Now no one will be able to stop the work of Delhiites. I have got 21 days of time from God. I will work 24 hours a day, I will travel in this country. We have to end dictatorship from this country. Every drop of my blood, every pore of my life is in the name of the country,” he concluded.

During this, Punjab CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann said that not even 24 hours have passed since Shri Arvind Kejriwal came out of jail and he is standing with you to meet you and participate in your sorrows and happiness. The enthusiasm with which you people have come is a big thing. Till date no one comes out for the leaders. The flowers you showered have no value in the world currency. It is your love that you supported Shri Arvind Kejriwal during this crisis. You supported his family and party. This is not a small matter. The BJP people were thinking that if they put Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Shri Sanjay Singh, Shri Manish Sisodia and Shri Satyendar Jain in jail, the party would automatically end. But they did not know that the Aam Aadmi Party is the name of a thinking, this thinking cannot end. When you press the button on 25th May, there will be a sound, that sound will not be of the machine but will be the screams of the BJP. You press the broom button and tell Shri Arvind Kejriwal that we are with you. You can keep him in jail for a month or two, but you cannot suppress your thoughts. Long night does not mean the sun dies, the sun rises. This is the sun of truth. We are all Arvind Kejriwal’s army, we do not have any soldier or general. We are all the same.

After coming out of jail, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal came out on the road to do his first road show in Mehrauli and people were crazy for him. The crowd showered flowers on him. CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, who was riding in an open car, accepted the greetings of the people by waving his hand. During this, Punjab CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann was also present in the car with him. Along with him in the convoy of vehicles, the Aam Aadmi Party’s INDIA Alliance candidate from South Delhi was also walking.

People had already gathered on the streets to see their favorite Chief Minister. During the roadshow, a large number of people were seen welcoming Shri Arvind Kejriwal by showering flowers on him from the roofs and balconies of their houses. During this, many people shook hands with him and were taking his photos. Many people presented him with a garland of flowers.

There was immense anger among the people of Delhi due to the illegal arrest of Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Today, when Shri Arvind Kejriwal reached the road show among the public for the first time after coming out of jail, his supporters were filled with enthusiasm. People were repeatedly raising slogans against the BJP. On this, Sardar Bhagwant Mann said that there is a lot of anger inside you and I am giving you 15 seconds to vent out your anger. After this he moved the mike around and people expressed their anger by shouting slogans. People raised slogans of ‘Arvind Kejriwal Zindabad’ and ‘I love you, Kejriwal.’
