BJP Workers Hold Protest in Patiala Against Terrorist Attack
April 23, Patiala (WISHAVWARTA):- A major terrorist attack shook the nation on Tuesday in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In strong condemnation of the attack, BJP Mahila Morcha President Jai Inder Kaur, along with party workers, organized a protest at Anardana Chowk in Patiala. The protest saw loud slogans against terrorism and a collective outcry demanding justice for the victims.
While addressing the media, Jai Inder Kaur said, “I strongly condemn the heinous and cowardly terrorist attack in Pahalgam that targeted innocent tourists. This barbaric act of violence is an attack on humanity and peace.”
She further stated, “The terrorists asked for tourists’ first names and targeted those who were Hindus. Over 50 rounds were fired by the terrorists, resulting in the death of 26 people and injuries to several others, including two foreign nationals. One woman said, ‘My husband was shot in the head for not being a Muslim.’”
Highlighting the seriousness of the situation, Jai Inder Kaur said, “Terrorism is the gravest crime against democracy and human rights. In today’s world, it poses a critical challenge. Following the Pahalgam terror attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has convened a high-level meeting in Srinagar, and an NIA team is reaching the attack site. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also cut short his official visit to Saudi Arabia and returned to Delhi. Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has spoken to Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi, and aerial surveillance of the area is underway. A nationwide high alert has been issued.”
Concluding her statement, Jai Inder Kaur said, “The culprits behind such crimes must not go unpunished. We all stand united against terrorism and demand swift and strict action against those responsible. I express my deepest condolences to the victims and their families. The BJP stands firmly with the families affected by this tragedy, and I appeal to the citizens of our nation to maintain peace and harmony.
