Indian Veterans March in Remembrance and Solidarity
Melbourne April 26 (Gurpuneet Sidhu) More than 80 Indian Armed Forces Veterans participated in the ANZAC Day Parade in Melbourne to pay homage to their fallen brethren not only in the Battle of Gallipoli but also in battles prior and later. Indian Armed Forces Veterans marched under Indian Flag and Tri-services Banner. According to dedicated social worker Mukand Lal Kaushik, some of the senior -most veterans were Air Marshal Ajit Bhonsale , Maj Gen APS Sandhu, Maj General Ranjit Nadkarni, Brig TS Aulakh, Col. PS Brar, Col. Sameer Roychowhury beside others. Consul General Dr. Sushil Kumar lauded the role of Indian Armed Forces and welcomed them to The Consulate General of India A cultural program was organised by the CGI Staff and sumptuous lunch was organised by CGI.
