Chandigarh, April 19 (Wishav Warta): Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. District Magistrate, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Ashika Jain has issued orders to completely ban sit-ins, demonstrations, and rallies up to 100 meters outside walls and perimeters within the administrative precincts of District, Sector-76, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 (Act No. 2 of 1974). These orders clearly state that there will be no restriction on the entry of less than five individuals from the main gate of this office to this building to submit memoranda, etc. These orders will be effective from April 11, 2024, to June 10, 2024. Ashika Jain said that it has come to our attention that the general public, political parties, and employee organizations, etc., usually hold rallies around the building of District Administrative Complex, Sector 76, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. She said that such activities cause inconvenience to the working employees and the general public coming to the office. In addition to this, such activities can cause damage to the building, which can lead to loss of life and property. She said that this can also worsen the law and order situation. In view of this situation, orders have been issued to stop these activities.
