WISHAVWARTA): MLA from Central Assembly constituency Dr Ajay Gupta on Sunday met Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and told him in detail about the problems being faced in the Central Assembly constituency. MLA Dr Gupta said that he is going among the people along with the officials and listening to their problems. People’s problems are being solved on priority basis. He said that more than one lakh devotees visit Sri Darbar Sahib every day. He said that people in the areas around Sri Darbar Sahib and in the walled city are also facing some basic facilities. He said that this can be solved but a permanent solution has to be found for it. MLA Dr Gupta said that a permanent solution also has to be found for the sanitation system and sewerage system. He told the Chief Minister that estimates are being made from the Municipal Corporation to get the development work of the Central Assembly constituency done. All these development works are also to be done in the coming days. He said that the previous Akali-BJP and Congress government has pushed the Central Assembly constituency far behind. Whereas the Central Assembly constituency is a major area in Guru Nagri Amritsar. MLA Dr Gupta said that he has met the Deputy Commissioner and Municipal Corporation Commissioner of District Amritsar and has explained in detail the development of the Central Assembly constituency.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann assured MLA Dr Ajay Gupta to get the Central Assembly constituency fully developed. Chief Minister Mann said that he is already aware of what you (MLA) have told me. He said that all the development works mentioned by you will also start in the coming days. He said that two master plans are being prepared for the cleanliness and sewerage system of Guru Nagri Amritsar. On this, MLA Dr Ajay Gupta thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
