Chandigarh (Wishav Warta) Shiromani Akali Dal has now openly faced the discontentment for not giving a ticket to Parminder Dhindsa from Sangrur. The Dhindsa family has taken a big step. They have announced that they will not go with the Shiromani Akali Dal. They stated that the workers are upset with them for not giving a ticket to Parminder Dhindsa from Sangrur. They also said, “We are Akalis and will remain Akalis!” Now, the workers are preparing for independent elections and the future strategy will be decided soon.
Sukhbir Singh Badal, the leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal, and senior Akali leader Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa reached a compromise on Wednesday evening. It is reported that there was a closed-door meeting between the two leaders for about 15 minutes. However, on Wednesday itself, Dhindsa met some supporters and had discussions with former ministers of the Akali Dal. After this, most of Dhindsa’s supporters suggested opposing the Akali candidates in the votes, but in a continuing statement, Dhindsa only talked about standing firm on Akali principles. It is also mentioned that Sukhbir Badal tried to convince the Dhindsa family, and various other parties are also actively trying to include the Dhindsa family in their own party.
