Administration issues itinerary for Nature Fest to begin on February 21
Opening with bird watching at Pong Dam as well as performance by Aalap Sikander
Fest to mark night camping, cyclothon, Kids Carnival, off-roading, booting, jungle safari and star night

Hoshiarpur, February 16 (WISHAVWARTA): The District Administration in association with the Punjab Tourism Department is set to organise Nature Fest from February 21 to 25 at local Lajwanti Sports stadium along with different activities at prominent tourism sites in the district.
Giving information about the different events to be held during the five-day Nature Fest, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that the administration in consultation with all the stakeholders had issued the itinerary. She said that the first day will mark the opening ceremony with bird watching at Pong Dam while in the evening the star night is being held at Lajwanti Stadium where renowned Punjabi singer Aalap Sikander mesmerise the audience. She said that adequate arrangements were being put in place to ensure seamless and memorable event. The second day i.e. February 22 would remain further entertaining as night camping had been scheduled at Solis, Tharolli followed by a Cyclothon at Lajwanti Stadium besides Kid’s Carnival at Van Chetna Park and India vs. Pakistan Match Screening at Stadium on February 23.
Referring to off-roading activity, Deputy Commissioner said that the off-roading would be held at Kukanet for which requisite arrangements were being made to facilitate participants. The booting and jungle safari at Nature Retreat, Chohal and star night of Punjabi singer Kanwar Grewal would be the main attraction on the concluding day.
Exhorting the people especially the residents of Hoshiarpur district to participate zealously this mega event, Deputy Commissioner said that a helpline number 90565-68870 had been issued while setting up of a website Naturefesthsp.com to keep people updated about the information. She said the entire event will be fully entertaining and nature friendly so people should actively participate in the activities to enjoy the rich nature potential and sustainability in the district.
