Fazilka, April 20, 2024 (Wishav Warta) – Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mr. Rakesh Kumar Popli, during an unexpected visit to the Danna Mandi Fazilka, inspected the arrangements for the procurement of wheat and also checked the quantity of moisture present in the wheat. Before this, he held special meetings with officials of procurement agencies, directing them to expedite the process of procurement, payment, and lifting.
He instructed the officials of market committees to ensure complete arrangements for facilities like sheds, water, cleanliness, and weighing scales in the procurement centers. He said that there should be no inconvenience to farmers, tenants, or laborers in the mandis, so all necessary arrangements should be made.
He instructed the concerned officials to ensure that the purchased crop is lifted from the mandi’s along with the arrival of the crop and lifting is done quickly so that there is no shortage of space in the mandi’s for bringing in more crops.
At this moment, DFSC Mr. Himanshu Kukkar, Mandi Officer Jasmeet Singh, Secretary of Secretary Market Committee Mandeep Raheja, Field Officer of Punsup Varun Babbar, Manager of Markfed Avi Kumar, Manager of Punsup Parminder Singh, Manager of Warehousing Ishant Bangla, Manager of Pungrain Arun Babbar were also present.
