Mission Green Elections-2024: Eight Banks Reiterate Commitment towards the Mission by administering oaths and holding events to promote greenery
SAS Nagar, May 24, 2024 (WISHAVWARTA):- In line with the instructions of ECI on Green Elections-2024, various bank branches in Mohali conducted many a events in their respective branch to boost the concept of Green Elections-2024 on Friday.
Divulging the details, Lead District Manager (LDM) Mohali, M K Bhardwaj said that as per the instructions received from Election Observer (06-Anandpur Sahib), Dr Heera Lal, IAS and under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer, Mohali Mrs Aashika Jain, all the banks have been lined up to take part in the noble initiative to make our environment more green and eco-friendly. They all took a pledge to stop the use of plastic in bank branches of the Mohali district.
Green Elections-2024 oath was administered at Union Bank of India, phase 1, Mohali, Union Bank of India, phase 7, Mohali, Bank of Baroda, Kurali ( Mohali ), Bank of Baroda, Phase 9, Mohali, Bank of Baroda, Kharar, Bank of Baroda, Santemajra ( Mohali ), State Bank of India, Sector-68, Mohali and State Bank of India, Sector 82, Mohali. The staff also expressed commitment to promote greenery and not to use single-use plastic.
These events will continue in the district till 31st of May 2024, he further added.
