Manav Mangal Group of Schools contributes Rs 10 lakh towards flood relief

SAS Nagar, September 09, 2025 (WISHAVWARTA):- In the wake of the recent natural calamity that severely affected several villages and towns across Punjab, the Manav Mangal Group of Schools has extended support to flood-affected families. The Group’s Director, Sanjay Sardana, handed over a cheque of Rs 10 lakh to Deputy Commissioner, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali), Ms Komal Mittal, for relief operations.
The Deputy Commissioner entrusted the cheque to the District Red Cross Society with directions to utilize the funds for providing necessary relief material to the affected families.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the floods have caused irreparable losses in Punjab. She emphasized that the government, citizens, and voluntary organizations are standing shoulder to shoulder with the affected people in this difficult time. “Voluntary contributions like these not only provide timely support but also send a powerful message of compassion and solidarity,” she added. District Education Officer, Dr. Ginni Duggal, was also present.
Mr. Sanjay Sardana said that people in border areas are facing extreme hardships, having lost almost everything in the floods. “They have suffered both personal and financial losses. It is our duty to step forward in such times and contribute meaningfully to relief efforts,” he remarked.
