Surfaced video of Allegations of Sale of Chitta lands the Accused Behind the Bars
Mohali Police Book and Arrest the Accused immediately
SAS Nagar, February 22 (WISHAVWARTA):- Acting swiftly after surfacing a video in which two girls has alleged that a person Manjit singh of Lohgarh has been supplying Chitta in Lohgarh of Zirakpur area, the District Police has booked the said accused immediately with a recovery of banned contraband from him.
Divulging the details, the Superintendent of Police (Rural), Manpreet Singh said that as per the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police, Deepak Pareek, IPS, SSP SAS Nagar, two teams were formed under the supervision of DSP Zirakpur, Jaspinder Singh to look into the matter.
During the operation, the person was apprehended today and was identified as Manjit singh s/o Nachatar Singh r/o Lohgarh, Zirakpur.
During his search, a 2 gm quantity of Chitta was recovered from him and correspondingly FIR no 91 dt 22-2-2025 u/s 21 NDPS Act was registered against him. Earlier, he was also booked in FIR 185 dt 09.05.2021 PS City kharar u/s 21 NDPS.
The locals took this swift action in a good spirit and welcomed Police’s initiative.
SSP Deepak Pareek said that SAS Nagar police is also welcoming further suggestions and inputs in our war against drugs and reiterating ‘Zero Tolerance Policy’.
