3100 Panchas to take oath on November 19 in Kapurthala
Local bodies minister Dr. Ravjot singh to preside over the function as DC and SSP reviews arrangements

Kapurthala is all set for swearing in ceremony of 3100 panchas at additional yard of grain market ( JJ Farm ) kapurthala on November 19 as local bodies minister Punjab Dr. Ravjot singh would administer oath to newly elected panchas .
While reviewing the arrangements for today Deputy commissioner Amit kumar Panchal and SSP Vatsala Gupta have said that “ the district administration has made adequate arrangements for smooth conduct of this oath taking ceremony”.
Deputy commissioner has ordered the civil surgeon to deploy medical teams alangwith ambulance to avoid any untoward incident.
Besides that he also reviewed the arrangements for drinking water , refreshments, stage , sound, electricity etc . Besides that temporary toilets would also be set up by Public health department.
Meanwhile SSP has said that Separate parkings have been made for vehicle of Panchas , officials etc besides smooth flow of traffic .
It may be mentioned here that 546 Sarpanchas have already took oath at a state level function at Ludhiana .
