Raja Warring’s remarks reflect Congress’s anti-Sikh mentality: Kang
Chandigarh, October 25 (WISHAVWARTA):- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab launched a strong critique of Shiromani Akali Dal Badal’s actions and the words of PPCC president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring against the Jathedar of the highest Sikh institute.
In a press conference on Friday, AAP senior spokesperson and MP Malvinder Singh Kang addressed the deteriorating condition of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Badal and the troubling remarks made by Raja Warring of the Congress party.
Kang said that the once-revered Shiromani Akali Dal, founded over a century ago with a commitment to Punjab and Sikh values, has been reduced to a family enterprise under the Badal family. He stated, “Today, the Shiromani Akali Dal is synonymous with the Badal family. They have turned a sacred organization into a personal property.”
Highlighting the historical sacrifices made by SAD and its leaders, Kang lamented their recent actions, especially their withdrawal from upcoming by-elections. “It’s unfortunate that those who contributed to our independence have now deserted Punjab during a by-election,” he added. He criticized the Badal family’s previous alliances and their treatment of Sikh institutions, claiming, “During their rule, they undermined Sikh organizations, treating them as mere political tools.” He said that Badal Dal has deserted Punjab, Sikhs and their matters a long time ago.
Kang also called out Raja Warring for his recent comments, which he believes reflect an ongoing anti-Sikh sentiment. “Warring’s remarks prove that he, along with the Congress, has always been disrespectful towards Sikh institutions,” Kang stated. He further questioned Warring’s sincerity, asserting that past actions of Congress, including attacks on the Akal Takht and Darbar Sahib, reveal their true intentions.
Addressing the collaboration between the Badal family, Congress, and BJP, Kang warned the people of Punjab: “These parties have repeatedly conspired against Punjab and Sikhs for their political gain. They will not be tolerated any longer.”
In conclusion, Kang expressed confidence in the resilience of the Sikh community and the enduring authority of the Akal Takht. “The Sikh people will no longer support those who betray their trust. The Badal family has become synonymous with betrayal,” he said.
