Undertake visits of Focal points to resolve the problems of industrialists: Tarunpreet Sond and Dr. Ravjot tell officers
– Industry & Commerce and Local government Minister hold review meeting
Chandigarh, October 19 (WISHAVWARTA):- Punjab’s Industry and Commerce Minister Mr. Tarunpreet Singh Sond and Local Government Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh today held a review meeting for upgradation Industrial Focal Points in the state.
During the meeting, both the Ministers directed the officers to visit the Focal points across the state to resolve their issues on top priority. They said that industrialists are backbone of the economy of the state and the Punjab government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed for ensuring their well being. They said that the officers should ensure that the ongoing works of ULBs are completed as per the given timeline.
The Ministers said that All the MC, Commissioners shall visit the respective industrial focal points and check the ongoing works. They said that the list/detail of all the Industrial Associations should be shared with Ministers to review their demands/suggestions/grievances.
They also directed ULBs to prepare a list of Street Light Infrastructure, focal point wise with total number of lights, operational, non operational and new proposed work alongwith fund requirement.
The Ministers said that All ULBs shall ensure cleanliness in all the Industrial Focal Points/ Estates besides deputing O&M wing of MC for proper maintenance of Sewerage system. They said that the encroachments shall be removed by the concerned wing of ULBs. They asked the officers to send regular reports pertaining to these works for constant monitoring.
